Job description

Job Title: Sales Engineer

At Saint-Gobain Performance Ceramics & Refractories, we are seeking a Sales Engineer to join our Waste to Energy and Foundry team. Your role will involve helping us expand in our market by identifying and engaging with new and existing customers across the UK.

Performance Ceramics & Refractories leads in providing high-performing products, including innovative ceramic and refractory solutions.

This is a field-based role covering most of the UK, requiring a full UK driving license. You will work on-site with customers, providing application advice from both product and commercial perspectives.

What we’re looking for:
  • Ability to make technical recommendations regarding our products/applications across the PCR range
  • Strong sales and relationship-building skills with key stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites and meet clients face-to-face
  • Potential for growth within the role; suitable candidates include recent graduates in material science, chemical engineering, or ceramics engineering, or those with 1-2 years of technical sales experience in refractories or industrial ceramics
What you will be doing:
  • Selling our solutions across PCR, leveraging our technical expertise, and securing sales for products and services including ceramics, waste-to-energy, foundry, filtration, etc.
  • Developing new business and sales from existing and new customers by proactively meeting clients and providing technical support
  • Providing on-site supervision and technical support during installations
