Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical Group (MCG) is seeking a Regional Sales Engineer (OEM) to join the EMEA team, driving growth and customer value across OEM accounts. You will work with MCAM UK colleagues to expand the portfolio and coordinate with Inside Sales and other functions to deliver tailored material solutions.

The role requires technical knowledge of materials, ability to read drawings, and experience in sales/engineering within an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanics, Plastics, or Chemistry.
• Sales and engineering background in an industrial production environment.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiarity with CNC machining and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with top OEM accounts to double the portfolio.
• Identify opportunities for shapes and parts for sustainable growth and market share.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales and internal teams to provide technical solutions.
• Provide application knowledge to offer competitive solutions and respond to inquiries.

About the role

We're looking for a Regional Sales Engineer (OEM) to join our EMEA team and help us deliver exceptional value to our customers.

What you will do

In this role you will work closely with the two other Sales Engineers within Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials (MCAM) UK to:

• Manage and grow relationships with top OEM accounts aiming to double the portfolio.
• Identify new opportunities for shapes and parts, ensuring sustainable growth and market share.
• Act as a role model for best practices and collaborate closely with Inside Sales and other internal teams.
• Provide technical expertise and application knowledge to offer competitive solutions.
• Handle customer enquiries, prepare quotations, and coordinate follow-up activities to hit defined targets.
• Maintain accurate customer and market data in Salesforce to support strategic decisions.

This role would benefit from someone willing to travel to customers in Teesside, North East of England.

What you bring

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Mechanics, Plastics, or Chemistry.
• Experience: Sales and engineering background, ideally in an industrial production environment.
• Technical knowledge of materials and machining

• Familiarity with CNC machining and ERP systems
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
