Job Description

Job Purpose and Summary: We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in product development or sales engineering, particularly with expertise in software. Proficiency in C is essential, while experience with C++ and Python is highly desirable. Familiarity with optical, mechanical, or electrical technologies is also advantageous.

This role involves leveraging technical skills to lead pre-sales activities, provide technical support, and develop tailored solutions that drive ITCG’s sales performance. Additionally, the position includes gathering market intelligence and tracking technology trends to inform strategic marketing efforts.

Salary: between £56,335 and £67,066 dependent on experience plus 10% bonus. Annual Bonus and annual pay review. Hybrid working - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical support and creating solutions: Lead technical and engineering support, providing customers with the best solutions primarily using software technology (C required).
  2. Presales activities: Take the lead in pre-sales activities for imaging products, focusing on customer development within the professional and B2B sectors across the EMEA region.
  3. New product launching: Provide technical support for product launches, including creating marketing assets, conducting internal training, and testing new products.
  4. Market information and feedback: Collect market information and technical trends in the EMEA region. Summarize customer requirements and provide feedback to Canon HQ.
  5. New product development: Contribute to initiatives led by Canon Europe involving hardware and software development, collaborating with external partners.
  6. Integration activities: Proceed with integration with third-party products to meet customer demands and expand the product ecosystem.
  7. Exhibition support: Provide technical support for exhibitions, including content planning, technical configuration design, and on-site support.

Based at Stockley Park, with up to 30% travel—typically one to two trips per month, possibly international.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and skills in software development, proficiency in C required; experience with C++ and Python highly desirable.
  • Background in product development or sales engineering, ideally within the imaging industry.
  • Familiarity with optical, mechanical, or electrical technologies is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
  • Ability to independently acquire and apply technical, marketing, and sales knowledge.
  • Comfortable working in diverse markets and adapting to customer needs.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, logical and investigative approach.
