Job Purpose and Summary

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in product development or sales engineering, particularly with expertise in software. Proficiency in C is essential, while experience with C++ and Python is highly desirable. Familiarity with optical, mechanical, or electrical technologies is also advantageous.

This role involves leveraging technical skills to lead pre-sales activities, provide technical support, and develop tailored solutions that drive ITCG’s sales performance. Additionally, the position includes gathering market intelligence and tracking technology trends to inform strategic marketing efforts.

Salary: between £56,335 and £67,066 dependent on experience plus 10% bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical support and creating solutions: Lead technical & engineering support, providing customers with the best solutions using mainly software technology (C required).
  • Presales activities: Lead pre-sales efforts for imaging products, focusing on customer development within professional and B2B sectors across the EMEA region.
  • New product launching: Provide technical support for product launches, including creating marketing assets, conducting internal training, and testing new products.
  • Market information and feedback: Collect market data and technology trends in EMEA, summarise customer requirements, and provide feedback to Canon HQ.
  • New product development: Contribute to initiatives involving internal hardware and software development, and collaborate with external partners.
  • Integration activities: Proceed with integration of 3rd party products to meet customer demands and expand the product ecosystem.
  • Exhibition support: Provide technical support for exhibitions, including planning content, designing configurations, and assisting on-site sales.

Location: Based at Stockley Park, with up to 20% travel—typically one to two international trips per month. Hybrid working: 3 days in office, 2 days from home.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and skills in software development, proficiency in C required; experience with C++ and Python highly desirable.
  • Background in product development or sales engineering, ideally within the imaging industry.
  • Familiarity with optical, mechanical, or electrical technologies is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
  • Ability to independently acquire and apply technical, marketing, and sales knowledge.
  • Comfortable working in culturally diverse markets and adapting to customer needs.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, logical and investigative approach.
