Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd in Peterborough is seeking a Sales Engineer to bridge technical design and commercial bids. You will prepare technical drawings, specifications and weight calculations for body-mounted equipment and support tenders from enquiry to quotation.

You’ll join a global organisation known for quality and continuous improvement, working with Sales, Workshop teams and OEM partners. The role offers training and career development in a technical sales environment.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Automotive Engineering (or related discipline).
• Experience in a technical engineering environment (e.g. sales engineering, applications, proposals, design/specification).
• Comfortable interpreting technical drawings/specifications and communicating with technical/non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create technical drawings, specifications and weight calculations for body-mounted equipment.
• Support bids, tenders, proposals and quotations with accurate technical information.
• Provide technical support across Sales, Sales Support and Workshop teams.
• Monday to Friday (39 hours per week) with occasional travel to meetings/events.

Are you a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer or Applications Engineer looking for a role where you can sharpen your technical and commercial skills, take ownership of complex specifications and become the go-to technical expert for a respected engineering business?

In this role you will prepare technical drawings, specifications and weight calculations for body-mounted equipment, ensure compliance with chassis manufacturer requirements, support tenders/bids and resolve technical specification issues alongside Sales and Workshop teams.

This role would suit a technically minded engineer who enjoys customer interaction and problem solving, and wants to build long-term technical credibility in a business that values engineering-led solutions.

The Role:
