What is Embat?

Embat is one of the fastest growing startups in Europe. Embat was founded in 2021 to create the best solutions for medium and large enterprises to plan their finances and monitor cash flow in real-time.

Our mission is to develop a SaaS product that leverages technology and excellent client experience to empower clients to make optimal business decisions by accessing financial information 100x more efficiently than with Excel.

What are we looking for?

As part of our goal to become a leading Pan-European embedded finance company, the UK market is vital. The Director of Sales, UK will be responsible for driving new business revenue, acquiring high-value clients, and increasing ARR. Reporting directly to co-founder Antonio Berga, this role is crucial in executing our global strategy, building a dedicated team, and representing Embat in the UK.

This position offers significant career growth potential, with the possibility of promotion to VP of EMEA as the company scales. The successful candidate will establish Embat's presence in the UK and expand influence across Europe.

What will you do?
  • Drive regional growth by securing high-value clients and increasing ARR.
  • Conduct client pitches and generate new business opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to the Product team on UK market needs, especially in Treasury Management Systems and Payments.
  • Develop a sales team modeled after the successful structure in Spain, including Account Executives, Sales Development Representatives, Partnership Executives, and others.
  • Create and execute sales strategies leveraging inbound and outbound initiatives.
  • Define target segments, plan capacity, set quotas, and improve sales effectiveness.
  • Participate in shaping company strategy as a key management team member.
  • Represent Embat at social and industry events in the region.
What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate has a strong track record in high-growth SaaS or FinTech environments, experience in launching and scaling businesses in the UK, and leadership skills to motivate a sales team. They should be passionate, energetic, and eager to contribute to Embat's success.

You'll be our ideal candidate if:
  • Experience leading a sales team of 5-10 members and achieving targets.
  • Success in selling complex products to CXO-level clients, closing contracts valued €30-70K annually.
  • Deep understanding of selling to Mittelstand and mid-market enterprises in the UK.
  • Ability to generate and close deals effectively.
  • Stable, proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with strategic vision for the UK market.
  • Excellent public speaking skills for representing Embat publicly.
  • Based in the UK, preferably London, willing to travel to Madrid during onboarding.
