The Team
The Small Medium Business (SMB) teams are responsible for Deliveroo's relationships with thousands of independent restaurant and retail partners operating on the Deliveroo marketplace across several European markets, ensuring their growth and operational success. The SMB team manages the full partner lifecycle, from initial acquisition and onboarding to reactive support and proactive account management.

The Role
As a UKI Sales Team Leader, you will lead and manage a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) focused on generating new restaurant sign-ups for the Deliveroo platform. Your primary responsibilities include overseeing outbound call campaigns to drive business growth, monitoring pipeline health, and maximizing sales opportunities.

You will ensure the team delivers a positive and seamless partner experience during onboarding. This role is vital for our continued growth and for enabling more SMB partners to maximize the benefits of our platform.

You will work in Manchester and report to the SMB Head of Sales. This is a hybrid role, requiring presence in the Manchester office three days a week.

What you'll do
  1. Manage outbound SDRs to lead quality partner acquisition, generate new sales opportunities, and utilize Salesforce effectively to track pipelines.
  2. Identify development needs within the SDR team, provide coaching to improve efficiency, and enhance performance.
  3. Collaborate with Regional Sales Teams to share market insights and maximize sales opportunities.
  4. Implement campaigns aligned with contact strategies that meet key performance metrics, including sales outcomes and partner experience.
  5. Create and analyze sales reports, developing actionable plans based on performance data.
  6. Participate in weekly and stakeholder meetings to update on team progress and performance.
  7. Serve as an inspirational role model for the team.
You

This fast-paced role requires a passion for leadership and results, with the ability to handle objections effectively. You should enjoy working in a target-driven environment.

The essential skills include:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Sales Leadership role.
  • Proven results in a contact center environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills to guide partners effectively.

Preferred experience includes:

  • Familiarity with Salesforce for customer management.
  • Experience using High Velocity Sales tools.
  • Knowledge of dialer technology, especially power and predicted dialers.
