Beacon is growing its nonprofit CRM and seeks an SDR to book demos for the CDMs. You will reach charities through phone, email, LinkedIn, and video, while re-engaging prior contacts and managing a daily call cadence. Coaching follows the Sandler method and targets are set monthly.
You will work with the SDR Team Lead in London, while the team collaborates with Marketing for outreach. A four-day week and strong pension benefits accompany the role.
You'll join the sales team as an SDR, booking demos for our Customer Development Managers (CDMs). Those demos come from three sources: cold outbound to charities that haven't come across Beacon yet, warm leads from charities that have spoken to us before or joined our webinars, and inbound enquiries from our website. Your SDR Team Lead will coach you day to day, and you'll take part in the sales team's regular Thursday development sessions, which draw on the Sandler method.
The best outbound SDRs are methodical and curious, and they keep going on days when the calls go badly. We're looking for someone commercially driven who wants to master outbound sales at a company dedicated to doing good.
If you meet most of these but not all, we'd still like to hear from you: we know great people don't always tick every box.
Beacon is a growing technology company building the best nonprofit CRM in the world. Chris and David, both software engineers, founded Beacon in 2017 to build a new kind of charity CRM using modern technology and design. More than 1,800 charities around the world now run their core technology on Beacon, working in areas from animal welfare and human rights to disaster relief and cancer support.
Doing good is at the core of our mission, and we're also profitable and owned by our founders, so we can aim for long-term, sustainable growth without outside investors pushing for a quick return.
In Fundraising magazine's 2026 survey, we scored 4.9 out of 5 for customer service, and 97% of our customers said they would recommend us. You can watch a short demo of Beacon and read about our features on our website.
As a team we prefer to be together in our office, and we'd want you to join us there, so this isn't a remote role. We offer flexible working hours, and while your usual place of work will be the office, you can work from home when you need to.
If you don't currently live within a commutable distance of our London office, Beacon may be able to support your relocation; chat to your hiring manager to find out more.
Our office is wheelchair accessible. If travel costs would stop you attending the final stage in person, we'll cover them, and if there's anything we can do to make any stage more accessible for you, please let us know.
We want to help address the tech sector's diversity problem, and we consider building a diverse and representative team critical to our success. Salaries are banded, so everyone doing the same job is paid the same and can see how their pay will progress. Pay across the company, including executive pay, is transparent. We encourage everyone with the skills this role needs to apply.
