This role is based in central London.
About KEF

KEF has earned a reputation as a premier manufacturer of audiophile-quality audio solutions for modern home theatre, hi-fi, professional audio, custom installation and personal listening applications. KEF products are distributed around the world and have won numerous international awards.

About The Role

As part of the KEF Music Gallery London team, you will deliver an exceptional and personalised customer experience in a premium retail environment. You will confidently demonstrate KEF products, translate technical features into customer benefits and build strong client relationships. Alongside general retail sales, you will take ownership of inventory administration and stock accuracy for the gallery, applying a methodical and numerate approach to receiving, recording, reconciling and reporting stock movements. You will contribute to sales targets while upholding KEF’s brand values and service standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional, personalised customer service to all visitors and create a welcoming premium experience.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and recommend suitable KEF solutions based on each customer’s needs, listening environment and budget.
  • Develop in-depth product knowledge and communicate features and benefits clearly to customers of all knowledge levels.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships through timely follow-up, accurate CRM records and professional after-sales support.
  • Contribute to individual and store sales KPIs, conversion, average transaction value and overall gallery performance.
Inventory Management Focus
  • Take day-to-day ownership of accurate inventory records for retail products, demonstration units, accessories and agreed café stock.
  • Coordinate goods receiving, delivery checks, stock transfers, returns and system updates, ensuring supporting documents are complete and accurate.
  • Carry out regular cycle counts and scheduled stocktakes, reconcile physical stock against system records and investigate discrepancies promptly.
  • Monitor stock levels and support replenishment and ordering to maintain product availability while avoiding unnecessary overstock.
  • Maintain organised storage areas, clear product labelling and accurate records of serial numbers, locations and stock status where applicable.
  • Prepare routine inventory reports and highlight variances, slow-moving stock, damaged items or control issues to the Retail Operations Manager.
Gallery Operations & Team Support
  • Support daily gallery operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling and till reconciliation as required.
  • Assist with maintaining product displays, demonstration readiness and visual presentation to KEF brand standards.
  • Support in-store events, activations and customer appointments, including occasional evening work.
  • Follow stock control, security, health and safety, and other company procedures consistently.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure clear handovers and smooth coordination across sales, deliveries and customer collections.
  • Support café operations when required to help provide a seamless overall customer experience.
Requirements
  • Retail or customer service experience, preferably within a premium, lifestyle, technology or audio environment.
  • Strong numerical ability and a methodical approach to inventory records, reconciliation and administration.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and organisation, with confidence investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport and deliver premium customer service.
  • Passion for music, sound and technology, with the willingness to develop detailed product knowledge.
  • Comfortable using point-of-sale, inventory, spreadsheet and CRM systems, and learning new technology.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, dependable and able to work independently when required.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including early mornings, evenings and occasional events.
  • Honest, reliable and committed to strong controls, confidentiality and KEF’s high standards.
