Job summary

Number One Shoes + Hannahs in Rangiora is seeking a friendly Sales Assistant to join our team. Hours: 5.5 hours per week (Sunday 10:00-16:00). You will help customers find the right products, keep displays tidy, process sales at the till, stock shelves, and support daily store duties.

A positive attitude, team spirit, and weekend flexibility are essential, with staff discounts and training to grow your retail skills. No prior experience required; training provided.

• Maintain tidy displays and ensure stock is well-presented.

The Role

We’re looking for a Sales Assistant to join our Rangiorateam.

Hours: 5.5 hours per week (Sunday: 10:00-16:00)

In this role, you’ll :

• Help customers find the right products and sizes, providing a friendly, welcoming experience every day.
  
• Maintain store standards, keeping displays tidy, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
  
• Support operational tasks including point-of-sale transactions, stock replenishment, and daily store duties.
• Contribute to team goals, helping the store succeed and supporting your colleagues.

What You’ll Deliver in This Role:

• Customer Experience & Sales: Deliver our "Every Day Great Experience" (EDGE) by engaging customers, identifying needs, and providing tailored advice. Achieve personal and team sales targets while upselling and maximising the customer experience.
  
• Store Presentation & Standards: Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store. Ensure merchandise is stocked, displays are attractive, and promotions are executed accurately.
  
• Operational Support: Assist with stock, deliveries, and transfers. Follow cash-handling procedures and store security practices. Support opening and closing duties as required .
  
• Teamwork & Collaboration: Work closely with your Store Manager, Assistant Manager, and team members. Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
