Job summary

Smyths Toys is hiring a Sales Assistant for Newry. This is a temporary full-time position with a pay rate of £12.90 per hour for over 21 and £11.00 per hour for under 21. The role requires delivering excellent customer service, assisting customers, and working across a busy store with flexible shifts.

Stores are open 7 days a week; you are expected to work about 5 days per week, with shifts typically between 9am and 9pm. Benefits include pension, life cover, EAP, and maternity/paternity payments.

This is a temporary contract, with a rate of pay of £12.90 per hour for over 21 and £11.00 per hour for under 21.

The Ideal Candidate

Retail experience in the following areas is highly desirable, but not essential:

• Backdoor/Warehouse

Our stores are open 7 days a week so we need our Sales Assistants to be as flexible as possible.

We anticipate that you will work 5 days a week with availability most days between 9am-9pm (shifts will vary).
