Job summary

AkzoNobel's Dulux Decorating Centres in the UK seeks a customer-focused store associate to support professionals and DIY enthusiasts, delivering a memorable service and helping maximise sales of AkzoNobel paints and accessories in-store. You will also perform home and business deliveries as required, working a 36-hour week with shifts 7am–5pm Mon-Fri and some Saturdays.

• Support the store's monthly customer contact plan and merchandising restock on shop floor.

Job description

You will play a key role in the success of your store by collaborating with instore colleagues and our UK Sales Team to provide a memorable customer experience to professionals & DIY enthusiasts. We will look to you to use your people skills to help maximize the sales and market share of AkzoNobel products and accessories in your store. You will carry out customer deliveries to homes and businesses too. This is a 36 hr per week role, you need to be available to work shifts between 7am and 5pm Mon-Fri. You will also work some Saturday shifts (8am to 12pm) on a rotational basis.

• Play an active part in engagement planning & monthly store meeting sessions.
• Ensure customers receive a warm welcome, an informed conversation & personalized proposal.
• Use our client service tools to ensure a consistent customer experience.
• Support your store's monthly customer contact plan.
• Follow the merchandising plan to restock the shop floor
• Load the van & plan delivery routes.
• Develop your skills & encourage colleagues to do so using our training tools.
• Proven experience in a customer service/retail role.
• Enjoys a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key.
• Manual driving license.
• Calm under pressure.
