Job summary

Dulux Decorator Centres, part of AkzoNobel, is seeking a Sales Assistant for a 30-hour week at our Kilmarnock store. You will greet customers, provide product recommendations and handle deliveries as needed.

The role is in-store, five 6-hour shifts per week, with flexibility for overtime to cover holidays. A driving licence is required and you will contribute to a friendly, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a customer service/retail role.
• Valid driving license.
• Calm under pressure.

• Play an active part in engagement planning & monthly store meeting sessions.
• Ensure customers receive a warm welcome, an informed conversation & personalized proposal.
• Use our client service tools to ensure a consistent customer experience.

• Load the van & plan delivery routes.
• Develop your skills & encourage colleagues to do so using our training tools.

Job Purpose

You will play a key role in the success of your store by collaborating with instore colleagues and our UK Sales Team to provide a memorable customer experience to professionals & DIY enthusiasts. We will look to you to use your people skills to help maximize the sales and market share of AkzoNobel products and accessories in your store. You will carry out customer deliveries to homes and businesses too as a stand in driver on occassion. This role is primarily in store as a Sales Assistant.

This is a 30 hour role, working five 6 hour shifts per week. We are ideally looking for flexibility, and for those who can work occasional overtime to cover holidays.
