Job summary

Topps Tiles, based in Leicester, is recruiting for a Sales Assistant to work 30 hours per week including weekend shifts. The role offers a competitive basic salary with personal sales commission and a friendly store team.

You won’t need prior tile knowledge as training is provided, and there is emphasis on helping customers visualise projects and select the right products. You’ll be part of a small team in a supportive environment with opportunities for training, development and progression,

Qualifications

• Flexible 30-hour week including weekend work.
• Aged 21+: £13.35 per hour plus personal sales commission.
• Aged 20 and below: £11.39 per hour plus personal sales commission.
• No prior tile knowledge required; full training provided.
• Outgoing, friendly and positive attitude with good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Help customers visualise tiling projects and find products.
• Serve as a service specialist, supporting customers and driving store revenue.
• Build relationships with regular trade customers and inspire design choices.
• Gain product knowledge to advise customers on the best products.
• Light lifting of tile boxes as part of daily tasks.

• Use your creativity to inspire customers, helping them to pick the right design and style choices.
• Gain product knowledge to give valuable advice for trade and retail customers to get them the best products they need.
