Job summary

HSL Glasgow is seeking a Sales Assistant to join a welcoming team. This role involves covering other HSL Showrooms as needed, with travel expenses and time covered. You will deliver personalised service, help customers choose feel-good furniture, and contribute to a tidy showroom environment.

Applicants should have a warm, empathetic manner and be eager to learn. A DBS check will apply. The position runs 21-28 hours weekly, with a need to work a mix of weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Retail sales and customer service experience is valued.
• UK driving licence is essential for the role.
• Willingness to travel between HSL showrooms.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver a warm, personalised service.
• Assist customers in selecting chairs and sofas to suit needs.
• Maintain a tidy, welcoming showroom and reset displays.
• Cover shifts across multiple showrooms as required.

We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join our welcoming team in Glasgow. This role will involve covering other HSL Showrooms too. Travel expenses and travel time will be covered, and the ability to drive and have your own vehicle is essential. What does a day in the showroom look like?

From the moment our customers walk through the door, you'll be creating a warm and memorable experience. That might mean greeting them with a smile, helping them dodge the rain with an umbrella, and guiding them through our unique chair fitting service.

You’ll help customers discover the wellbeing benefits of our expertly designed chairs and sofas, supporting them in finding a style, fabric and size that truly suits their needs. You’ll also help keep the showroom looking its best, ensuring everything feels fresh, tidy and welcoming.

We’re open every day, so you’ll need to be happy working a mix of weekdays and weekends.
