ABOUT THE POSITION

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our associates are essential to our business. From ensuring product availability on the sales floor to creating eye-catching visual displays, addressing customer inquiries, and running an efficient checkout process, our associates create memorable customer experiences while supporting Columbia Sportswear Company's mission of "Connecting Active People with Their Passions."

As a Retail Associate, you will represent our Company, Brands, and products to our consumers. You will serve customers and share product information to help them find products matching their needs. Retail Associates support product flow into the store and onto the sales floor, ensuring product representation and accessibility. You will contribute to store profitability through accurate and efficient processes and assist the Store Leadership Team in supporting our mission.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and safety standards; restock merchandise from stock rooms and inventory locations.
• Perform cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges) accurately; connect consumers to loyalty programs.
• Support store profitability by accurately processing incoming and outgoing products.
• Respond to customer questions about product features, benefits, and availability; understand customer needs and assist with buying decisions. Uphold Columbia's values to enhance the customer experience and teamwork.
• Acquire knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs to execute daily operations effectively.

REQUIREMENTS

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience interacting with and serving customers.
• Skill in operating Inventory and POS systems and other retail software.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.

JOB CONDITIONS

• Active environment requiring constant movement, physical activity, and handling items up to 40 lbs.; may involve exposure to dust and noise.
• Occasional work in different locations.
• Clear communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule that may change seasonally and based on business needs, adhering to all relevant laws.
