Job Opportunity: Sales and Service Advisor - Derby

Basic Salary: Up to £23,500

Benefits:

Are you seeking a varied role with a longstanding and trusted client? Whether you're a parts advisor, service advisor, parts or service administrator, telesales operative, or a motor trade professional looking for a change, we want to hear from you.

Our client, an aftermarket specialist in Derby, is interested in candidates with customer service and sales skills, even if you're outside the motor trade. The role involves retail sales, basic accounting (training provided), engaging with trade parts, handling calls and emails, and managing passersby and account orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing daily cash paperwork and banking, including petty cash and maintaining accurate files.
• Ensuring daily bank deposits of cash and cheques.
• Monitoring stock movements, raising invoices and credit notes accurately.
• Securing payment for goods and obtaining credit approval as needed.
• Reporting discrepancies to the Store Manager immediately.
• Performing general admin duties as required.

Counter Responsibilities:

• Actively selling and promoting trailers, parts, and equipment both face-to-face and over the phone.
• Serving customers politely and efficiently at the counter, off-site, or via telephone, providing professional advice.
• Taking orders for trailer hire and towbar fitting, updating the diary, and liaising with the workshop.
• Maintaining attractive stock displays and ensuring stock is shelved promptly.
• Coordinating with the Workshop to ensure steady workflow and assisting with stock takes.
• Keeping the work area tidy and adhering to Health and Safety policies.
• Wearing the company uniform and representing the brand appropriately.
• Training to operate a Fork Lift Truck and holding a full, current driving license.
• Performing other reasonable duties as required.

What You Will Receive:

• Salary up to £23,500 per annum
• Quarterly bonus structure
• Overtime paid at standard rate, subject to availability
• 32 days annual leave, including bank holidays
