Job Description:

Sales and Marketing Director

Location: Lancashire

Full Time: Permanent

Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office

We're looking for an experienced Sales and Marketing Director to join a business services organisation based in Lancashire. The right candidate will be responsible for shaping and delivering the strategy across marketing and digital sales, covering the full customer journey—from attracting new members to growing and retaining them to build loyalty and advocacy in support of our client’s goals. You will lead and develop a central team, working closely with other functions to drive results and champion continuous improvement.

The Role:

  • Lead the development and delivery of a digital marketing and sales strategy, leveraging paid, owned, and earned channels to drive awareness, interest, and demand.
  • Champion the use of Salesforce CRM to improve targeting and business intelligence; optimise the sales funnel and member journey across digital, telesales, and in-person channels.
  • Create and manage an 18-month rolling marketing and sales plan aligned with business goals; oversee the marketing budget in collaboration with the CFO.
  • Plan, run, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns, providing regular performance reporting and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Enhance brand visibility and recognition, ensuring consistent brand delivery and implementing tools to measure brand value and impact.
  • Deliver actionable customer, competitor, and market insights to inform strategy and ensure our client’s offerings meet evolving needs.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to drive organisational progress and shared business outcomes.
  • Stay ahead of digital and marketing trends; use data and insights to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Represent our client at industry events, enhancing brand reputation and building strategic relationships.

Who are we looking for?

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven success in exceeding ambitious sales and telesales targets.
  • Strong track record in delivering impactful digital marketing campaigns and driving lead generation.
  • Experience selling business services and working with senior leaders to align sales and marketing strategies.
  • Skilled in developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Proficient in using Salesforce for sales tracking and CRM-driven insights.
  • Advanced analytical and numerical skills to inform data-driven marketing decisions.
