About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Education Manager to oversee our business within Department Stores in the Northern Region.

This role is responsible for the overall performance of our business in the Northern Region, managing commercial performance, driving sales, and fostering a consumer-focused culture.

Key responsibilities include achieving retail sales targets by recruiting, leading, managing, and developing our in-store Managers and Luxury Brand Ambassadors. Ensuring high levels of customer service and attention to detail in our retail environments is essential to uphold our reputation as a luxury fragrance brand.

This position reports directly to the National Field Sales Manager for UK/Ireland and collaborates with the National Retail Training Manager to ensure the team’s product knowledge and service skills are exemplary. The Sales and Education Manager is supported by a Retail Excellence Facilitator.

Accountabilities include:

  • Empowering Business/Account Managers to take ownership of their roles with the necessary tools and knowledge.
  • Defining and implementing the commercial strategy for each store.
  • Managing the budget for the area.
  • Motivating the team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Ensuring the team maintains excellent product knowledge and service skills.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensuring operational excellence through Business/Account Managers.
  • Monitoring KPIs and sharing business insights to develop the team.
  • Keeping informed about competitor markets.
  • Maximizing brand visibility in line with brand guidelines.
  • Encouraging employee engagement through a collaborative approach.
  • Leading talent acquisition, development, and management of the team.
  • Conducting performance appraisals and managing performance, attendance, and conduct according to company policies.

  • Experience in retail area sales management within luxury brands, preferably fragrances, with a track record of leading teams.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with a flexible and dynamic approach.
  • Emotional intelligence and leadership qualities to motivate and energize teams.

  • Passion for luxury retail, customer experience, and exceeding sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time within the area.
  • High standards of etiquette and professionalism as a representative of the luxury brand.

The North of England Region includes Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Sheffield.
