White Recruitment Construction in Tilbury, Essex, is seeking a Sales & Development Executive to drive new business in freight forwardings across sea, air and road. You will identify opportunities, quote accurately, and build lasting client relationships.

The role requires at least two years in freight sales, a proven sales track record, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in freight sales (sea, air, and road) within a freight forwarding environment.
• Proven track record in sales and business development.
• Solid understanding of the global freight industry.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong numeracy and literacy skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• A friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across FCL/LCL sea freight, air freight, and road freight (imports and exports).
• Generate leads through proactive outreach and collaboration with the Sales and Operations teams.
• Prepare accurate quotations and ensure all relevant terms and conditions are included.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
• Undertake both in-office and field-based business development activities.
• Bring existing industry contacts or transferable client relationships (Advantageous).
