Job summary

Winemark is seeking a store assistant in Northern Ireland to provide exceptional customer service and maintain product knowledge across our range. You will support the Store Manager with sales, stock control, and merchandising while upholding store standards and safety.

The role requires 3 months of retail experience, strong communication, and a customer-focused mindset. A dress standard and team-player attitude are essential for success in a busy wine retail environment.

Qualifications

• Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent.
• WSET Foundation Certificate (desirable).
• A valid driving license plus access to a car (desirable).
• Three months previous experience in a retail environment.
• Communication skills across internal and external customers with clear written and verbal ability.
• Customer-focused approach delivering high-quality service and exceeding expectations.
• Ability to actively sell to customers.
• Personal drive with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Good dress standard and professional appearance.
• Team player capable of working in a team.

Responsibilities

• To comply with the Company regulations with regard to cash handling and administration.
• To comply with all health and safety information and to ensure compliance with all licensing and trading standards legislation.
• Any other duties relevant and related to the post.
