Job summary

Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care is seeking a Sales Advisor to be the first point of contact for customers, helping them choose optical and hearing products and services that improve their lives. You will work with a friendly, supportive team in a welcoming environment.

Role involves advising on frames, lenses, hearing care, processing sales, and contributing to stock management and store presentation. Training and progression opportunities accompany a family-run culture and generous staff

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable attitude with strong communication skills.
• Customer service or retail experience is preferred but not essential.
• Basic IT skills and attention to detail are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with warmth and professionalism
• Assist customers in selecting optical and hearing products
• Provide clear, helpful advice on frame styles, lenses, and hearing care
• Process sales and bookings using in-branch systems
• Support stock management and merchandising
• Keep the store clean, welcoming, and well presented
• Work closely with Optometrists, Hearing Aid Audiologists and the wider branch team to ensure a seamless customer journey

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with a friendly, approachable attitude and strong communication skills. While customer service or retail experience is preferred, it is not essential. The ideal candidate will be able to work both as part of a team and independently, using their own initiative. A willingness to learn and grow within a supportive environment is important. Basic IT skills and strong attention to detail are also required for this role.
