Job summary

Saltrock in Northam on the North Devon coast is seeking a Sales Advisor on a 4-hour contract to join our Retail team. You’ll work with an energetic group, helping customers and delivering an excellent in-store experience.

You’ll bring a warm manner, passion for the product and the ability to handle till transactions, keep the store clean and inviting, and assist with merchandising and stock.

We offer uniform allowance, a 50% staff discount, and pro-rata holiday entitlement.

Responsibilities

• Help achieve sales targets by demonstrating a passion for product and brand while processing sales transactions.
• Ensure customers have a positive store experience in a welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards for a healthy and safe store.
• Provide product knowledge including features and stock availability.
• Assist with markdown/price alterations within agreed timescales.
• Keep product tidy and replenished.
• Support merchandising with guidelines and process deliveries.

Job Description

A brilliant opportunity to work within our Retail team. You’ll work alongside an energetic team, who are passionate about our product and engaging with our customers delivering an excellent experience for them while they are in store.

Role

• Helping to achieve sales targets by demonstrating a passion for the product and the brand while processing sales transactions with care
• Ensuring customers have a positive experience within our store making it an inviting and welcoming atmosphere.
• Keeping housekeeping to a high standard the outcome being a healthy and safe store
• Be able to feed our customers with information about our product including features and benefits and stock availability
• Help implement any markdown/price alterations within agreed timescales
• Keeping our product tidy and presentable and replenish as needed
• Support when requested with merchandising product in conjunction with our guidelines
• Process deliveries

What you will bring on the journey

• A warm and friendly manner that fits with our culture

• Recognition of the importance of strong visual merchandising
• Competent at till operations and Cash/card handling
• Experience in Retail would be desirable but not essential
