Job summary

Hotel Chocolat in the UK is seeking a Retail Supervisor to lead store colleagues and deliver a premium customer experience. You will welcome customers, understand their needs, conduct tastings, and guide them to suitable products while maintaining product knowledge and brand standards.

Full training is provided and you will handle transactions, stock, and store presentation. The role offers incentives, staff discounts, and career progression within a growing brand that values quality and guest

Qualifications

• Some experience in holding responsibility for a store or hospitality setting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and immerse them in the world of Hotel Chocolat.
• Identify customers' needs through friendly conversation.
• Demonstrate products and tastings, check allergens.
• Close sales and upsell additional products.
• Process transactions, refunds and exchanges at the till.
• Respond to customer feedback and maintain store standards.
• Support with deliveries and stock, keep areas tidy and safe.
• Upsell during café pace and maintain hygiene and cleanliness.

Job Introduction

Are you ready to join Hotel Chocolat's exciting and ongoing journey as the UK's favourite premium chocolate brand?

This role is for a Retail Supervisor so while you don't need retail experience to work here, some experience of holding reponsibility for a store or hospitality setting would be hugely beneficial to the successful candidate. Full training will of course be given, we just need you to bring a commitment to being a true brand ambassador who is passionate, enthusiastic and customer focused.

You'll lovesharing our products with our customers with a warm and personal touch, ensuring that an amazing customer experience is delivered through excellent product and brand knowledge.

What You'll be doing:

• People are the reason you love retail! You'll warmly welcome every customer and immerse them in the world of Hotel Chocolat.
• Discovering your customers' needs and reason for their visit through friendly conversation.
• Delighting your customers through product demonstrations and tasting sessions, ensuring to check for allergens throughout your time with them.
• Closing the sale and confidently recommending additional products such as gift bags.
• Genuinely thanking your customer for shopping with us, ensuring they leave happy.
• Processing transactions, refunds and exchanges at the till.
• Responding to customer feedback.
• Working with your team to support with deliveries and stock management, keeping the delivery area is kept clear and tidy in line with our health and safety guidelines.
• Maintaining the appearance of the store and café areas to a high standard.
• You will be preparing ice creams and snacks according to our guidelines and processes whilst keeping the area immaculately clean. The customer experience is just as important, however given the pace of a café, you will focus on upselling to your customer.
• Support where you can to the success of your store and team.
