Job summary

Resonant is a global life sciences company based in Chorley, delivering clinical trial and diagnostic services. We are seeking a Sales Administrator to support our sales and account management teams with accurate order processing, invoicing, and administration.

This on-site role requires excellent organisation, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work cross‑functionally to ensure a high-quality customer experience and timely delivery of orders.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service, sales support, sales administration, customer relationship, or order processing role.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a passion for delivering a positive experience.
  • Experience processing orders and supporting account management activities.
  • Understanding invoicing processes including invoices and credit notes.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using internal systems and databases.
  • Manage end-to-end sales administration to handle requests promptly and professionally.
  • Generate and process invoices, credit notes, and other sales documents.
  • Support account management with administrative activities to ensure seamless service.
  • Monitor and expedite orders, following up on outstanding actions and updates.
  • Investigate and resolve queries relating to orders, invoicing, and service requests.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth communication.

Based in Chorley, our Equipment & Ancillaries team provides a truly global service, sourcing and supplying medical and laboratory equipment to meet the unique needs of each study. From single-site trials to complex, multi-country programmes, we ensure our customers have the right equipment, in the right place, at the right time, enabling them to focus on delivering successful clinical outcomes, wherever their trials take place.

How will you make an impact & Requirement
Role Mission

As a Sales Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting our sales and account management teams by ensuring theaccurateand efficient processing of customer orders, invoicing, and sales administration activities. You will act asa central pointof coordination between customers and internal departments, helping to deliver an outstanding customer experience and ensuring customer requirements are met right first time, every time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using internal systems and databases

  • Manage the end-to-end sales administration process, ensuring customer requests are handled promptly and professionally

  • Generate and process invoices, credit notes, and other sales documentationin a timely manner

  • Support the account management team with administrative activities to ensure seamless customer service and project delivery

  • Monitor andexpeditecustomer orders and backorders, proactively following up on outstanding actions and communicating updates

  • Investigate and resolve customer queries relating to orders, invoicing discrepancies, and service requests

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth communication and efficient resolution of customer issues

  • Produce reports andmaintainaccuratecustomer and order records within company systems

  • Ensurehigh levelsof data accuracy and attention to detail across all sales administration activities

  • Build positive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support an exceptional customer experience

  • Prioritiseworkload effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and service levels.

You will have strong administrative and coordination skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships, and supporting a high-performing team.

Essential skills and experience:
  • Previousexperience ina customerservice, sales support, sales administration, customer relationship, or order processing role

  • Strong customer service mindset with a passion for delivering a positive customer experience

  • Experience processing orders, managing customer requests, or supporting account management activities

  • Good understanding of invoicing processes, including invoices, credit notes, and customer billing requirements

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, including working with spreadsheets, formulas, and data management

  • Excellentorganisationaland planning skills, with the ability toprioritisecompeting demands

  • High levelof accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across multiple departments

  • Ability to manage workload under pressure and respond to changing priorities with a sense of urgency

Desirable (but not essential):
  • Experience working within a healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device, or clinicaltrialsenvironment

  • Experience using ERP, CRM, or bespoke order management systems

  • Exposure toaccount management, customer projects, or contract administration

  • Experience producing operational or customer-focused reports

  • Understanding ofsupply chain, order fulfilment, orlogisticsprocesses

  • Knowledge of customer service best practices and continuous improvement principles
