AkzoNobel's Dulux Decorator Centre in Pontefract is seeking a part-time Sales Assistant. You will welcome customers, discuss needs, and present informed recommendations while working with our UK Sales Team to grow sales and share. You may also handle deliveries to homes or businesses.

The role runs 20 hours per week across store hours, with some Saturday shifts, and offers a supportive environment with training and progression opportunities.

Job Purpose

You will play a key role in the success of your store by collaborating with instore colleagues and our UK Sales Team to provide a memorable customer experience to professionals & DIY enthusiasts. We will look to you to use your people skills to help maximize the sales and market share of AkzoNobel products and accessories in your store. You will carry out customer deliveries to homes and businesses too.

This is a part time, 20-hour per week role, scheduled between the store opening hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, and some Saturday shifts from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Play an active part in engagement planning & monthly store meeting sessions.
• Ensure customers receive a warm welcome, an informed conversation & personalized proposal.
• Use our client service tools to ensure a consistent customer experience.
• Support your store's monthly customer contact plan.
• Follow the merchandising plan to restock the shop floor
• Develop your skills & encourage colleagues to do so using our training tools.
