Job summary

Blackhall and Peterlee Practice in County Durham seeks a sessional GP to join a busy, friendly team delivering high-quality patient care. The role involves a mix of telephone and face-to-face appointments, with on-call support and opportunities for teaching and professional development.

You will provide clinical care in line with the GMS contract, maintain GMC-compliant records, and work within a multidisciplinary team to optimise outcomes for 10,000+ patients across two locations.

Qualifications

• Evidence of GMC registration and CCT, with eligibility to practise independently.
• Experience in managing long-term conditions and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centred medical care.
• Prescribe medicines following local and national guidelines.
• Review test results and referrals; manage administrative tasks.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with GMC standards.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement and audits.
• Support education and training of GP trainees and students.
