Job summary

St Julians Medical Centre in Newport is seeking a Salaried GP to join a friendly, established practice serving around 15,000 patients. The role involves 46 sessions per week, across Monday, Thursday and Friday, with on-call duties included in the salary.

The team includes GP partners, salaried GPs, registrars, advanced nurse practitioners and supportive staff. The post offers a collaborative, teaching-focused environment with opportunities for professional development and special interest areas,

Qualifications

• Doctor with GMC-registered medical degree and medicolegal insurance.
• Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Inclusion on the Medical Performers List for Wales (or eligibility).

Responsibilities

• Face-to-face, telephone and online consultations.
• Management of acute and long-term conditions.
• Appropriate prescribing and medicines management.
• Reviewing results, correspondence and clinical information.
• Referrals and clinical administration.
• Home visits as needed.
• On-call rota participation.
• Maintain accurate clinical records (EMIS).
• Collaborate with the wider team.
• Participate in meetings, audits and quality improvement.
