Job summary

Needham Market Country Practice is recruiting a salaried GP for up to 8 sessions a week, working within a six-partner GMS practice. The role focuses on routine and urgent consultations, both in person and remotely, and involves diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, prescribing and home visits.

The post requires full GP qualification, a GMC licence to practise, and inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified General Practitioner
• GMC registration with a licence to practise

Responsibilities

• Routine and urgent consultations, face-to-face, remote and by telephone
• Assessing, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions
• Prescribing and reviewing medications
• Home visits where clinically required
• Managing pathology results, correspondence and workflow tasks
• Making referrals to secondary care and community services
• Care planning and continuity for patients with long-term needs
• Health promotion and preventative care advice
• Accurate clinical records on SystmOne, meeting coding standards
• Safeguarding vulnerable children and adults
• Quality improvement, clinical audit and governance activities
