Job summary

We are looking for a Salaried GP (4 to 5 sessions), to join our supportive, friendly, and forward-thinking team. We are a dynamic, family-friendly surgery that values our staff and is keen to expand our clinical team.

we do ask that all clinicians work either a Monday or a Friday.

We welcome both newly qualified and experienced GPs. We are also a GP training practice, offering a supportive learning environment.

Main duties of the job

What we offer

  • Strong PCN support, including pharmacist, care home coordinator, social prescriber, and link workers based in the same building
  • Extended Access support, including:
  • Healthy Minds practitioner
  • Virtual MSK and medicines management
  • Saturday Hub (GP/Nurse/HCA clinics )
  • Weekly clinical meetings and daily informal coffee catch-ups
  • Capped contacts of 13 TO 15 per session to ensure a manageable workload
  • Dedicated admin GP/pharmacist support to protect clinical time

  • GMS Contract - 3 GP Partners, 3 salaried GPs, 1 Clinical Pharmacists, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs and 1 phlebotomist.

  • PCN Co-Lead PCN Practice Manager. LMC Rep.
  • BMA model contract - 6 weeks leave/indemnity and pension

  • Encourage portfolio GPs and career development, commitment to CPD/opportunity to progress to partnership if desired.
  • Experienced Mentor if required.

Job responsibilities

To support the GP partners in the Practice to manage a busy, interesting clinical caseload. The appointee will also have the opportunity to take part in leading on key disease areas (monitoring trends in treatment, staff training and prescribing) and assist in developing appropriate healthcare services for a diverse suburban patient list; Including Directed Enhanced Services commissioning, patient participation and health promotion.

To adopt, adapt and exploit the clinical systems, digital solutions and new ways of working such as online consultations, group consultations, text and email communication to engage with patients in their care.

To work as part of a full practice team that values contribution from all roles and engages to mutually support each other to provide the best patient experience.

  • Demonstrated effective time management and prioritisation
  • Proven experience in generating and leading the implementation of improvement initiatives
  • Experience of managing change projects e.g. changes to services, pathways or working arrangements
  • Ability & willingness to act as a service user advocate
  • Awareness of the social context of general health care for individuals and the population
