Job Summary

Looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working, team player who enjoys working in a successful, high-achieving Practice. This is an invitation to join our experienced multidisciplinary team consisting of GPs, ANPs, PAs, Pharmacists, Practice Nurses, HCAs, and Physios.

Main duties of the job

• Newly qualified or experienced GPs welcome to join our team.
• For newly qualified GPs - we will support you to settle in and gradually ease into the Practice ways of working. We shall appoint a buddy to support you as part of the induction process.
• We would like the new colleague to have aspirations of becoming a GP Trainer at some stage.

Salary: Depending on experience, £10k - £12k/session/year based on experience

Working pattern: Full-time, Part-time

Location: Spaines Road, Fartown, Huddersfield, HD2 2QA

Job Responsibilities

• Provide Personal Medical Services to acceptable clinical standards to patients, both in surgery and on home visits.
• Respond to medical problems presented by patients, including history taking, examination, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, referral where appropriate, and documentation with READ coding onto the GP system.
• Provide health promotion and preventative health care advice within the primary health care context.
• Attend all team meetings and other necessary meetings for PMS duties.
• Carry out clinically related administrative and non-clinical duties needed for the delivery of personal medical services.
• Provide free certification in line with NHS GMS Regulations.
• Provide emergency cover for colleagues as needed.
• Maintain patient records in line with the electronic patient record system.

Person Specification

Qualifications (Essential):

• Registered with the GMC or other appropriate governing body.
• General Practice experience.
• On the Performers List.

Desirable:

• Special Interests.
• GP Trainer.
