Job summary

Newburn Surgery is seeking one or two enthusiastic Salaried GPs to join our well-established practice, rated Good by CQC. With ~6,300 patients, we offer 6–8 sessions weekly, start date April 2027, and a competitive salary based on experience.

Indemnity paid, 6 weeks' holiday plus CPD time, and strong support for professional development. We are a training practice with a collaborative team and a focus on work-life balance and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent; GMC registration in good standing.
• MRCGP or equivalent specialty qualification.
• Full current GMC registration.
• DBS clearance.
• Full driving licence.
• Medical indemnity coverage.

Responsibilities

• Face-to-face consultations.
• Telephone consultations.
• E-consultations.
• Home visits.
• Supervising students and trainees (F2/GPR).
• Share of on-call sessions.
• Signing prescriptions.
• Handling medication queries and test results.
• Timely paperwork and correspondence.
