Job summary

Atherley House Surgery in Shirley, Southampton is seeking a Salaried GP on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2028. The post is for 2 sessions per week, ideally a Wednesday or Friday, in a welcoming team of GPs, nurses, and administration.

Job description

Salaried GP – Fixed term - Atherley House Surgery

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP to join our welcoming healthcare team situated in the heart of Shirley, serving a population of 5500 patients. Initially, this will be on a fixed term basis until 31 st March 2028.

The post will be for 2 sessions per week, ideally either a Wednesday or Friday.

Our core practice team consists of 3 GP Partners, 1 salaried GP, Practice Nurse, Nursing Associate, Phlebotomist and GPA who are all supported by our administrative team; we strive to maintain a strong sense of community among our team and as a result have many staff who have longstanding service at the practice.

We are a member of Southampton West PCN, utilising ARRS roles to operate as a multi-disciplinary team including clinical pharmacists, social prescribers, health and wellbeing coaches, mental practitioners and first contact physio.

We pride ourselves on being able to offer continuity of care to our patients and having a more traditional family doctor feel whilst embracing innovative ideas to continually adapt to a changing environment.
