The Methodist Church in Britain is sourcing a salaried GP for Mount Farm Surgery. This six-month maternity cover, starting September 2026, focuses on surgery, telephone care, home visits and signing prescriptions within a multidisciplinary team.

Applicants should have GMC registration and be on the NHSE medical performers list. Sessions are negotiable and the practice offers a supportive environment and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and eligibility for NHSE medical performers list.
• Experience in chronic disease management, primary prevention and screening.
• Commitment to confidentiality, data protection and practice policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surgery consultations.
• Handle telephone consultations and queries.
• Visit patients at home when required.
• Check and sign repeat prescriptions.
• Deal promptly with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence.
• Perform general GP duties within primary care.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to support patients.

A salaried GP post at Mount Farm Surgery, a well-established teaching practice with ten GPs and a wider clinical team.
