Job summary

DHU Healthcare is seeking a Salaried GP to work at Royal Derby Hospital, providing urgent and unscheduled care within a multidisciplinary team. You will assess and manage patients, perform appropriate investigations, and maintain GMC registration in a supportive NHS environment.

Qualifications

  • Completion of GP training or equivalent experience
  • Experience in general practice/urgent care/out-of-hours/emergency medicine or other unscheduled care settings
  • Experience of assessing and managing undifferentiated presentations safely

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with urgent undifferentiated illness and minor injury in line with UTC scope and local pathways
  • Undertake clinical history taking, physical examination and clinical decision making
  • Request, interpret and act on appropriate investigations within UTC setting, including point of care tests and ECGs
  • Maintain full GMC registration, licence to practise and Performers List
  • Maintain appraisal, revalidation, mandatory training and professional development requirements

As a Salaried GP you will:

  • Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with urgent undifferentiated illness and minor injury presentations in line with UTC scope, competence and local pathways.
  • Undertake clinical history taking, physical examination and clinical decision making using evidence based practice.
  • Request, interpret and act on appropriate investigations available within the UTC setting, including point of care tests, ECGs and imaging where available and authorised.
  • Maintain full GMC registration, licence to practise and inclusion on the Performers List.
  • Maintain appraisal, revalidation, mandatory training and professional development requirements.
