Job summary

Riverside Medical Practice is seeking a Salaried General Practitioner to join our friendly, forward-thinking team at Pontllanfraith Health Centre. The role offers 4+ sessions per week, with flexible discussion based on applicant preference and practice needs.

You will provide a varied workload including face-to-face and telephone consultations, management of acute and long-term conditions, prescribing and clinical administration. Reports to Partners and Practice Manager.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and National Performers List registration are essential.
• Adequate defence indemnity (MPS/MDU) is required.
• Experience in primary care settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe and effective clinical care for a broad range of conditions in general practice.
• Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations with a patient-centred approach.
• Support patients with ongoing and complex health needs, focusing on prevention and long-term management.
• Collaborate with nursing, pharmacy and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
• Prescribe safely, make referrals when needed and review investigations and results.
• Contribute to clinical governance, significant event reviews and quality improvement.
• Work with GP partners and wider practice team to maintain a positive workplace.
