Job summary

Bloomsbury Medical Centre in Birmingham is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our friendly, forward-thinking practice. You will provide high-quality clinical care across face-to-face, telephone and digital consultations within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and a licence to practise.
• Inclusion on the NHS England GP Performers List.
• MRCGP or equivalent recognised qualification and completion of GP specialty training.
• Experience of working in general practice or primary care.
• Commitment to continuing professional development and high standards of patient care.
• Special interests relevant to primary care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care through face-to-face, telephone and digital consultations.
• Assess, diagnose and manage acute, chronic and complex medical conditions across all age groups.
• Undertake home visits when required, in accordance with practice policies and service needs.
• Prescribe safely and effectively in line with current clinical guidance and local prescribing policies.
• Review medications and manage long-term conditions.
• Arrange appropriate investigations, referrals and follow-up care.
• Process clinical administration, including prescriptions, test results, referrals and patient records, promptly.
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive and confidential clinical records.
• Promote preventative healthcare, screening, health education and patient self-management.
• Follow safeguarding procedures for children and vulnerable adults.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and share workload fairly.
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
