Job summary

The Dove Medical Practice in Birmingham is seeking a Salaried GP for a 12-month maternity cover. The role offers a supportive team, opportunities for professional development, and patient-centered care across a diverse population.

You will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team in a practice committed to high-quality care and continuous improvement. We welcome both experienced and newly qualified GPs.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering care in a GP practice and primary care setting.
• Active GMC registration and licence to practise in the UK.
• Inclusion on NHS GP Performers List is essential.
• MRCGP or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Evidence of ongoing CPD and commitment to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality medical care to registered patients across all ages.
• Provide services in line with Primary Care Contract.
• Assess patients’ physical and psychological needs and plan care with appropriate referrals.
• Prescribe generically and safely in line with guidance.
• Manage patients with long-term conditions and urgent care situations.
• Promote health education and self-care among patients.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and participate in team-based care.
• Contribute to service improvement, governance, and staff development.
