New River Health in the UK is recruiting a salaried GP to join two surgeries serving 17,500 patients. The role covers face-to-face, telephone and video consultations, with care planning, screening and prescribing.

It is a teaching site for GP trainees and Cambridge Medical School students, shaping a busy and collaborative environment. GMC registration, Performers List inclusion and enhanced DBS are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold GMC registration and be on the Performers List
• Enhanced DBS check required
• Experience with British primary care systems

Responsabilités

• Attend the agreed practice timetable for surgery, telephone or video consultations and paperwork
• Make autonomous clinical decisions on presenting problems
• Assess health care needs of patients with undifferentiated problems
• Manage own time, workload and resources
• Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
• Develop care plans with patients in line with current disease management protocols
• Record clear, contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
• Contribute to QOF requirements and record data appropriately
• Contribute to PCN requirements and record data appropriately
• Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
• Prescribe from the practice formulary or generically where clinically appropriate

Salaried GP post at New River Health, a practice of 17,500 patients across two surgeries, Church Street Surgery and Castlegate Surgery. The work centres on consultations, by face to face, phone or video, for patients with undifferentiated problems, alongside care planning, screening and prescribing. The practice is a teaching site for GP trainees and Cambridge Medical School students, which shapes the working environment. What the job involves

• Attend the agreed practice timetable for surgery and telephone or video consultations, queries and paperwork
• Make autonomous clinical decisions on presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred within or outside the practice
• Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
• Manage own time, workload and resources
• Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
• Develop care plans with patients in line with current disease management protocols
• Admit patients to and discharge them from the caseload, and refer to other care providers as appropriate
• Record clear, contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
• Contribute to QOF requirements and record data appropriately
• Contribute to PCN requirements and record data appropriately
• Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions
• Prescribe from the practice formulary or generically where clinically appropriate, and review as required
