Job summary

Royal College of General Practitioners in Redditch is seeking a Salaried GP to join a well-established training practice serving around 15,000 patients. The role is 4 sessions per week, with Wednesday and Friday or Thursday and Friday essential, under a BMA-style contract with regular salary reviews.

The Practice offers a supportive, collaborative team; there are 14 AM and 13 PM appointments, 15-minute slots for face-to-face and telephone consultations, and approx. 1 home visit per day.

Salaried GP – Redditch

4 Sessions per Week | £10,500–£12,500 DOE

We are working with a well-established GP surgery in Redditch who are looking to welcome a Salaried GP to their friendly and supportive team.

The role is for 4 sessions per week, with Wednesday and Friday or Thursday and Friday essential. The practice is a training practice with around 15,000 patients and offers a supportive environment for both experienced GPs and those looking to develop their career.

The Role

• 4 sessions per week – Wednesday and Friday or Thursday and Friday
• £10,500–£12,500 DOE, with regular salary reviews
• BMA-style contract
• 14 appointments AM and 13 PM
• 15-minute appointment slots for F2F and telephone consultations
• First 3 PM appointments are telephone results at 10 minutes
• Not all appointments are face-to-face
• Approximately 1 home visit per day, booked by the duty GP, although this is not always required
• AI triage system expected to be in place before your start date, helping direct patients to the appropriate service
• Limited and audited administrative workload for Salaried GPs

• Support & Development

  The practice has 6 Salaried GPs on average each day, alongside 4 GP Partners, providing a strong and collaborative clinical team.

  Specialist interests are actively encouraged and supported. The practice is particularly happy to support GPs with interests such as:

  • Joint injections
  • Coil fitting
  • Implant fitting
  • Other areas of specialist interest

There is also scope to develop additional skills within the practice with support from the wider team.

For those who may eventually be interested in taking on additional responsibility, 6 sessions would include one duty day per week, with a maximum of 15 appointment slots. This would not be expected initially, allowing you time to settle into the practice and become comfortable with the workload first.
