Job summary

Bournemouth East Collaborative Primary Care Network (PCN) is seeking a Salaried GP to join the Treatment Centre team in Bournemouth. The role is permanent and offers up to 3 clinical sessions per week (Thursday 16:00-20:00 and Saturday 09:00-13:00/13:00-17:00) seeing patients from all four practices.

You will work with the Lead GP for the Treatment Centre, provide clinical guidance to the multi-disciplinary TC team, maintain high standards, and contribute to PCN service development.

• Essential GMC-registered GP with MBBS or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Salary: £12,194.00 per session per year

Bournemouth East Collaborative Primary Care Network (PCN), situated on the stunning Dorset South Coast, comprises four like-minded practices working together in East Bournemouth, with a strong reputation on quality improvement and investing in its employees. The PCN serves a population of approximately 55,000 patients with a diverse demographic.

Practices part of the PCN are:
Beaufort Road Surgery, Littledown Surgery, Shelley Manor and Holdenhurst Road Medical Centre, Southbourne Surgery

Main duties of the job
Provide up to 3 clinical sessions Thursday 16.00-20.00, Saturday 09.00-13.00/13.00-17.00 from the Treatment Centre seeing patients from all 4 practices.
Working with the Lead GP for Treatment Centre.
Provide clinical advice and guidance to the multi-disciplinary TC team.
Maintain the highest clinical standards at all times and practices in accordance with accepted good medical practice and service standards.
Supports the development of PCN service delivery at the TC

Our Network teams include:

• Enhanced Care Visiting team for frail housebound patients and those in care homes. The team includes visiting GPs, ANPs, Paramedic, Frailty Nurses, Care Coordinators, Clinical Pharmacist.
• BEC Urgent Care Treatment Centre working out of the TC at Shelley Manor Medical Centre supported by GPs, ANPs, Respiratory Nurse & HCAs.
• First Contact Physiotherapy Practitioner service.
• Digital Lead, Digital Care Coordinator, Digital Champions.
• Pharmacy team comprising of Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians & Care Co-ordinator.
• Health & Wellbeing Coaches and Social Prescribers within Help & Care team.

The BEC Treatment Centre is based at Shelley Manor Private Suite, we are working to provide on the day clinical capacity to support our four member practices by offering GP & ANP on the day appointments for practices to book into. We also offer HCA, smear clinics, MSK, and Respiratory Nurse appointments, with plans for additional services to be developed over time.

Experience
Essential

• Experience of S1 and understanding of working access multiple modules is desirable
• Evidence of interest in relevant additional clinical skills.

Qualifications
