Job summary

Allt Goch Medical Centre is seeking a Salaried GP for a two-year post. The practice, serving about 5,400 patients, operates with a principal GP, a second salaried GP, an advanced nurse practitioner and team staff. Sessions range from four to six per week and EMIS Web is used.

Will require full GMC registration and Welsh Medical Performers List inclusion to apply. The role focuses on telephone triage, clinic consultations, home visits when needed, and involvement in quality improvement,

Qualifications

• CCT in General Practice is required.
• MRCGP is required.
• Full GMC registration is required.
• Welsh Medical Performers List inclusion is required.
• Evidence of up-to-date statutory and mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard, patient-centred care via telephone triage, face-to-face consultations and on-call cover.
• Manage acute, chronic and complex conditions.

Job description

Salaried GP post for two years at Allt Goch Medical Centre, a practice of about 5,400 patients staffed by a principal GP, a second salaried GP, a part-time advanced nurse practitioner, practice nurses and administrators. The work centres on telephone triage, face-to-face consultations and on-call cover, with home visits where needed, across acute, chronic and complex conditions. Sessions run at four to six a week, and the practice uses EMIS Web. Full GMC registration and a place on the Welsh Medical Performers List are needed.

What the job involves

• Deliver high-standard, patient-centred care through telephone triage, face-to-face consultations and on-call cover
• Manage acute, chronic and complex conditions within general practice
• Carry out patient consultations, assessments and treatments
• Make home visits where necessary
• Support preventative healthcare, chronic disease management and minor illness care
• Work with the multidisciplinary team, including nurses and allied health professionals
• Contribute to clinical meetings, quality improvement and practice development
• Keep accurate records and follow clinical governance standards
• Report to the Lead GP/Practice Manager
• Take on other duties depending on the post-holder's skills

Qualifications

• Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice
• MRCGP

Registration & licences
