A busy medical practice in the East Midlands is looking for a motivated GP to join their friendly team. Responsibilities include managing patient caseloads, conducting consultations, and contributing to the training of medical students and GP Registrars. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic GP to joinour very busy, friendly team.
You must haveexcellent clinical and communication skills and an active interest in teachingand training as you will be involved in the supervision of medical students andGP Registrars. If you have an area ofspecial interest, we will actively encourage and support you in this.
You will be responsible for core work such as assessment, diagnosis, treatment and onward referral of patients.You will have responsibility for a practice list of patients, take part in core hours and there is an option to be involved in extended hours.You will take part in the triage and on call rota, on a pro-rata basis to your number of clinical sessions.
Our sessions consist of a mix of 10-minute telephone calls and 15-minute face to face appointments with protected time for online consultations, meetings and trainee debriefs.
We are fortunate to work as part of the Belper PCN which comprises4 local practices: Arthur, Riversdale, Whitemoor and Appletree. We work closely and collaboratively and thePCN has successfully recruited a large number of staff who work across thepractices adding an invaluable skill mix and much needed additional appointments.For GPs looking for more than 4sessions, there may be an opportunity to do additional sessions for our HomeVisit Service Team Up.

Job summary:
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Clinical responsibilities:
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion and in accordance with the contractual obligations set out by the GMS contract.
