Job summary

Warders Medical Centre in Tonbridge, United Kingdom, is seeking a motivated GP to work five sessions per week within a supportive multidisciplinary team. Job summary

Warders Medical Centre is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic General Practitioner (5 sessions per week) to join our thriving and expanding multidisciplinary team. Main duties of the job

Manage and respond to a wide range of health needs within a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

  • Provide comprehensive general practice consultations to patients.
  • Undertake physical examinations, where appropriate, to assist in the diagnosis, prevention, and management of disease and injury.
  • Assess, investigate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment and management plans in collaboration with patients and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous, and complete clinical records in accordance with professional and organisational standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of patient services and clinical outcomes.

Job responsibilities

The post-holder will:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred care to registered and temporary patients.
  • Undertake consultations within surgery sessions and, where appropriate, conduct physical examinations.
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans in accordance with evidence-based practice.
  • Prescribe safely and effectively in line with local and national guidance.
  • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous, and legally compliant clinical records.
  • Make appropriate referrals to secondary care and community services.
  • Contribute to the management of long‑term conditions and preventative healthcare programmes.
  • Participate in the practice duty doctor rota.
  • Respond to clinical correspondence, pathology results, and other tasks as required.
  • Promote health education and disease prevention to patients.
Professional Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional registration, appraisal, and revalidation requirements.
  • Keep professional knowledge and skills up to date through continuing professional development.

  • Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety activities.
  • Participate in practice audits and service development initiatives.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GMC registration with licence to practise.
