Springfield Medical Practice in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic salaried GP to join our friendly team. The role offers 4–5 sessions per week with a January 2027 start, though we can wait for the right candidate.

The contract is based on BMA guidance with salary 10.5k+ per session depending on experience. Our practice provides a supportive, collaborative environment within a traditional GP model, with opportunities to develop clinical, teaching and organisational interests while delivering

Qualificações

• Fully qualified General Practitioner with current GMC registration and licence to practise.
• Included on the NHS England Medical Performers List and engaged in regular clinical work.
• Evidence of completion of GP Specialty Training (CCT) or equivalent.
• Evidence of ongoing CPD and engagement with revalidation.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Qualified GP Trainer

Responsabilidades

• Provide face-to-face, telephone and online consultations with triage where required.
• Assess and manage acute and chronic illness.
• Prescribe safely and undertake medication reviews.
• Review and act on test results and clinical correspondence.
• Make referrals and contribute to personalised care planning.
• Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate and agreed.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to governance and service improvement.

We are looking for an enthusiastic salaried GP tojoin our friendly and supportive practice in Coventry.

We have an opportunity for a salaried GP to work4-5 sessions a week; ideally all day on a Wednesday and Friday and Tuesdayafternoons. We are looking for therole to start in January 2027, although the Practice is happy to wait for theright person to join our team.

Contract based on BMA guidance. Salary 10.5K+ persession depending on experience.

Our supportive, collaborative team practice atraditional GP model, whilst still embracing innovation where it helps patientsand staff. We are committed to high-quality, holistic care and there are plentyof opportunities to develop clinical, teaching and organisational interests.

We are located in modern purpose premises minutes15 minutes from Coventry city centre.

Main duties of the job

• To work closely with your clinical peers and the wider practice team to deliver high-quality, holistic clinical care to our registered patients.
• Manage your share of both Duty Doctor sessions and sessions consisting of a mix of acute, prebooked and telephone calls.
• Manging all associated paperwork and admin, with time given to do so.
• Peer support via regular clinical governance meetings and service development activities.

The practice serves a population of approximately7,000 patients at one site, North of Coventry City centre.

The practice clinical staff are made up of a broadMDT: with 5 GP partners, a registrar, 1 nurse, 1 nursing associate, 2phlebotomists/HCAs, 2 clinical pharmacists, 1 first contact physiotherapist, asupportive PCN and a social prescribing team.

We are an active teaching practice hosting GPregistrars and foundation stage doctors in training. We hold regular clinical governance meetingsand personal development is highly encouraged.

The practice are consistent high QOF achievers andpositive patient feedback.

We are an EMIS practice, rated Good by the CQC. We are proud to be active members of the well-regarded Coventry North PCN,working collaboratively with neighbouring practices to improvecare for our local population.

Job responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face, telephone and online consultations, including triage where required.
• Assess and manage acute and chronic illness.
• Prescribe safely and undertake medication reviews.
• Review and act on test results, clinical correspondence and patient-related tasks.
• Make appropriate referrals and contribute to personalised care planning.
• Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate and agreed.
• Manage clinical admin arising from own work, including referrals, prescriptions, reports, medicals and safeguarding matters.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and appropriate clinical coding.
• Contribute fairly to duty doctor arrangements.
• Attend practice and multidisciplinary meetings and support clinical governance, audit, QOF and service improvement.
• Work with clinical leads, managers and practice team to support the operational plan and relevant quality and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the wider team, including community services and Integrated Neighbourhood Teams.
• Contribute to teaching and training where appropriate.
• Clinical and administrative duties will be agreed through the job plan and allocated fairly in proportion to the number of sessions worked. GPs are welcome to discuss developing areas of clinical interest, subject to service needs.
