Job summary

Northumberland Children's Services is offering a 3-year fixed-term Social Work Apprenticeship that combines academic study with hands-on experience in children's social work. You will be employed as a Social Work Apprentice within one of Northumberland's Social Work teams while developing the knowledge, skills and experience to become a qualified social worker.

On completion, you’ll progress to a vacant Social Worker role within the Children's Social Work Academy via the ASYE; the program leads

Qualifications

• A minimum of 112 UCAS points (or equivalent).
• OR a minimum of 80 UCAS points (or equivalent) plus evidence of exceptional practice experience.
• English grade C (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• 3-year fixed-term apprenticeship combining academic learning with practical experience.
• You will be employed as a Social Work Apprentice within one of Northumberland's Children's Social Work teams.
• On successful completion of the apprenticeship, progress to ASYE and then into a Social Worker role.
