Job summary

NC Associates are recruiting an experienced Bookkeeper to join a successful organisation in Burnley. The role involves hands-on bookkeeping across purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations and month-end support, with Sage 50 playing a central role.

This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary of £30,000-£35,000, Monday to Friday, and a company pension. The ideal candidate will have strong all-round bookkeeping experience and be able to work independently within a busy

Qualifications

• Bookkeeper or similar accounts role experience essential.
• Sage 50 experience is essential.
• Strong bookkeeping and double-entry accounting knowledge.
• Experience managing purchase ledger and accounts payable.
• Experience managing sales ledger and accounts receivable.
• Proficient at processing invoices, payments and financial transactions.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations and supplier reconciliations.
• Good Excel skills.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• AAT qualification advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting duties.
• Process purchase invoices and maintain ledgers.
• Run weekly and monthly supplier payments.
• Maintain supplier and customer accounts and reconciliations.
• Support month-end procedures and management reporting.
• Record financial transactions using Sage 50.
• Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal departments.
• Identify improvements to procedures and financial processes.
