Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Wimborne seeks a Systems Engineer to join the project team, applying safety and systems engineering practices on regulated programs. You will scope and support bid work, generate high quality documentation, and mentor less-experienced engineers.

Based in Wimborne, UK, you will work with cross-functional disciplines and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes while ensuring compliance with IEC standards and DOORS for requirements management.

Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent) in electrical/electronic engineering.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status is advantageous.
  • Experience in safety/systems engineering or design in a safety-regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of safety system design per IEC standards (IEC 61508 and related).
  • Familiarity with IEC 15288 and UML.
  • Proficiency with DOORS for requirements management.

Responsibilities

  • Support safety/systems engineering aspects of projects.
  • Draft and estimate systems engineering tasks for bid work.
  • Apply systems engineering practices on projects and generate high-quality documentation.
  • Use systems engineering tools for requirements management and design modelling.
  • Represent project systems engineering to customers and stakeholders.
  • Mentor less-experienced team members on systems engineering matters.
  • Support other engineering disciplines as required and contribute to process improvements.
