Job Description

Keeping our people safe and well at work is a top priority at Amazon. Our Safety Specialists play an integral part in making this happen. In this role, you'll implement vital safety measures to ensure everyone at your location works in a safe and healthy environment. This hands-on position allows you to make a difference daily by proactively safeguarding staff, empowering them to feel confident and motivated in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor site performance against KPIs and develop plans to enhance processes
  2. Establish workplace health and safety programmes and coordinate training sessions
  3. Analyze safety metrics and incident trends to allocate resources effectively in high-risk areas
  4. Conduct audits to ensure compliance with health and safety laws and implement solutions for identified risks
A Day in the Life

Based at one of our sites—fulfillment centres, sortation centres, or delivery stations—you'll oversee on-site safety processes. Your close proximity enables you to spot potential issues and identify opportunities for improvement. You'll collaborate with various teams to understand risks and gather data to develop smarter, safer work practices. Additionally, you'll organize training and programmes to promote adherence to safety standards and foster continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in line with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
  • NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ5 level or equivalent qualification
  • Knowledge of UK Environment, Health, and Safety legislation
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies
  • Experience managing environmentally conscious initiatives
