South East Water is seeking an Operational Resilience and Security Manager to lead the security strategy and SEMD compliance across the business. You will disseminate industry guidance, manage risks, and secure funding through the price review process.

The role also develops and leads emergency planning with external stakeholders to ensure robust incident response. The successful candidate will oversee the SEMD annual assessment, coordinate with engineering and HR, and train staff in incident

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3/4 (or equivalent) within a security or emergency planning discipline, preferably water industry specific.
• Ability to develop, motivate and lead a multi-disciplinary team.
• Highly organised, methodical, and adept at managing time effectively.
• Demonstrates thoroughness and a strong attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills with rapid decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the Operational Resilience and Security team.
• Lead, mentor and manage the ORS team.
• Ensure SEMD compliance and risk management across the business.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders as the SME on security matters.
• Lead engagement with external bodies and industry groups.
• Oversee incident reviews and post-incident improvements.
• Own South East Water's Incident and Emergency Plan and annual SEMD assessments.
